Clearwater Festival announces its second wave of artists!

The Clearwater Festival is happy to announce new artists, in addition to the artists listed above, for the 2018 lineup:

Beth Orton – best known for her ‘folktronica’ sound, this English singer-songwriter mixes elements of folk and electronica. (photo not listed)

Langhorne Slim – known from his years touring with the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players and an appearance at the Bonnaroo Music Festival.  His song “Electric Love Letter” was chosen as number 5 on the Rolling Stone editor’s top 10 picks and was also in the movie Waitress.  He has been on tours with Cake, The Avett Brothers, Murder by Death, Jeffrey Lewis, The Violent Femmes, Josh Ritter, Drive-By Truckers, Old 97’s, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and The Lumineers.

Parker Milsap – an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist playing a blend of blues, country, rock, Americana and folk music.  Milsap’s musical style has drawn comparisons to early Elvis Presley. In addition to singing, he plays guitar, harmonica, and banjo. He has opened for Old Crow Medicine Show, Shovels & Rope, Lake Street Dive, John Fullbright, Sarah Jarosz and several others.

The War and Treaty – This married couple presents a blend of roots music, bluegrass, folk, gospel, and soul. Their album, Down to the River, is driven by joy, determination and an unceasing upward gaze.

Beausoleil avec Michael Doucet – take the rich Cajun traditions of Louisiana and artfully blend elements of zydeco, New Orleans jazz, Tex-Mex, country, blues and more into a satisfying musical recipe.

CJ Chenier & The Red Hot Louisiana Band – brings bayou beats with elements of funk, blues, and ballads, and puts the foot tapping, can’t stand still sounds throughout traditional Zydeco.

Vanaver Caravan – a Hudson Valley-based nonprofit organization that performs original, world-infused choreography and music, both locally and internationally.
